Blessing of the Fleet


AHOy, A SPEICAL INVITATION!
 
All members of the
St Lucie Sailing Club
are
Invited to Participate in the Annual
 “Blessing of the Fleet”

Organized for SLSC by Cruise Captain Fred Faulkner
April 18th
12:00 Noon Line-Up with 12:50 Parade Start Time
in the
North Fork of the St Lucie River
 

The SLSC Membership Committee
Extends a special invitation to all newer members (6 months or so!)
 and
Encourages them to either
Captain their boat for the Blessing
or
Crew on a boat for the event*
 
Following the Blessing the club will celebrate our new members
at a
Raft-Up off of Pendarvis Cove (S Fork of St Lucie River)
Members new and old, cruisers, racers and land lubbers are invited to participate.
Racers can make the 2:00 Beer Can race (please take new members on your boat)
Cruiser’s can party at the raft-up then drop off their crew later in the day.
 Trailerable boats can launch at Pendarvis and join the raft-up, bring land lubbers please!
Some boats plan to spend the night.
Over night accommodations are limited and are by invitation only, check with your captain
 
Bring your drink of choice and a dish to share for the raft-up
Soon Reach will have a large cooler with ice.
 
s/v’s Soon Reach, Duet, Hula Girl, and Cookie Monster
 have already volunteered to take new members for the day. 
*Contact the captain (phone #’s are in the roster) if you wish to crew.
Other captains are requested to take on new members as crew for the day.
New members are requested to show their appreciation by asking to crew!
It is traditional to decorate boats with flags, burgees, flowers and streamers for the Blessing. Help make SLSC the best decorated fleet in the Blessing!
