The St. Lucie Sailing Club

Learn about trimming your sails and tuning your boat for greater efficiency and speed. Learn sail handling tips to improve your confidence and safety on the race course. With practice you can improve your finishes and perhaps win some races.

The course will be taught by Richard Laub and Dennis Heretick. Both have extensive racing experience.

The cost of $50.00 per student ($70.00 for couples) includes the North Sails Fast Course textbook “Trim”, all course materials and a light snack at each meeting.

There will be six classes over the next six Thursdays, at 7 PM, beginning with Orientation on 2-17-11.

The classes will be held in the clubhouse of Tarpon Bay Yacht Club 3100 SE Pruitt Rd, PSL (near Club Med).

RACING CLASS CONTINUED

You can register for the course by sending an email to Richard Laub at rlaub@yahoo.com or calling at 772-380-9201. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone number and preferred email address. Also note whether you are enrolling as an individual or as a couple. You will be sent detailed travel instructions and can pay in advance or at the orientation meeting.

SAINT VALENTINE’S PARTY

Following our SWEET HEART REGATTA, Eros, Roman god of Love, invites the St. Lucie Sailing Club to share cocktails at 5:30 pm and Awards Ceremony to follow. This allows all our members to shower and prepare for a ROMANTIC EVENING at the Dorney’s residence.

Dinner at 6:30 pm

Lasagna and Cake will be provided.

Please bring a dish to share, and your favorite beverage.

Water, mixers and coffee will be provided.
