After 14 years, Ruthie & Steve will be leaving the Deck Restaurant to pursue new adventures. They have always been the "unofficial" clubhouse for the SLSC. Let's meet for dinner or drinks on Wednesday, August 11, at 6 pm, to wish them luck and say goodbye. Please let me know if you plan to attend.

How to Help – Show Up and Pick Up.

Wear old clothes and closed toed shoes, hats, sunscreen, etc.

Blue Firecracker Ocean Regatta Cancelled

Well, there have been no r.s.v.p.s for the Blue Firecracker Ocean Regatta. I polled all of the larger cruising boats who have raced in the past year and are in town, and I have not found anyone who intends to be at the regatta. With these facts in mind and with deep regret, I have decided to cancel the regatta.

Independence Day B.B.Q and Fireworks

A wonderful time of the summer; the SLSC annual patriotic picnic at Pendarvis. The grills will be smoking, the salads delicious, conversation unmatched. Please join us at the corral for a great Sunday cook out and get together.
