A few of us have started gathering at The North End of the North Fork on Wednesday Nights for some Beer Cannning.  We are in the process of drawing up the rules, but plan to have a multi-race series over the summer and have some kind of prize at the end.  We are going to make the series open to anyone who is interested (Club member or not).  We hope to attract some attnetion and maybe some new members.  The start finsh line is the channel markers in front of Sandpiper Marina (Club Med) and the other marks are permanent markers.

Start Time is 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Monitor Channel 71 for directions. After race discussions at Tiki Bar at Sandpiper.  Hope to see you there.

Tom Thompson (Soon Reach)  presents Ken Kroll (Mo' Hedo) with the Catch-up Award. Or is it Ketchup Award?  Seems Ken insist on spotting the fleet anywhere from several minutes to a couple of hours, and then trying to run them down during the Cerulean Race.  Nice job Tom.

Here's the photographic proof -- May 28th, SLSC burgie still flies at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands.  Asta Poirier, Richard Rice, Jesse & Denise Jagoda, Claudio & Jacqueline Caramma, and Margrit Nitschke -- bareboat sailing vacation in the BVIs May 23-30.

The Program Committee is always looking for interesting speakers and topics for SLSC club meetings. If you know of someone who would be of interest to the general membership, or a specific group of members (ie. Racing, Cruising), don't keep it a secret! Contact Richard Laub by email at  rnsearch-boat@yahoo.com .

The start time for the return leg of the Cerulean Cup  has been altered.  The new start time is 8:45 a.m. outside Ft. Pierce Inlet.  This modification was made to accomadate the deeper draft vessels getting back into St. Lucie Inlet at the end of the day.  Any questions, see the RC at the party.

Cruising , Socializing

All of the details of the May Cruise to Ft. Pierce are posted here.  Rsvp in the comments section below and let  us know what side dish you are bringing if you did not rsvp at the May meeting.
